Objective #7-Inverse, Contrapositive, and Converse
The following statement will be used in the following examples: If Joe goes skiing then, Steven goes snowboarding.
Definition of Inverse: Something that is the opposite;or the reverse of.
-If Joe doesn't go skiing then, Steven doesnt' go Snowboarding.
Definition of Contrapositive: A claim formed by switching the subject and predicate terms of a categorical claim, and replacing both by their complementary terms ( if you dont understand this just look at the example)
-If Steven doesnt' go snowboarding then, Joe doesn't go skiing
Definition of Converse: A statement switched in such a way that the hypothesis is flipped with the conclusion
-If Steven goes snowboarding then, Joe goes skiing
If you understand the example then you should be able to just switch the words around to help you figure out the answer to your question.
